China-Pakistan-Iran geo-strategic alliance

Pakistan, Iran and China, two regional powers and one superpower, have formed an important cooperation alliance. They are located in three regional zones, South Asia, East Asia and the Middle East.

Iran has strategic and security influence in the Middle East, with natural resources, ancient civilizations and cultures that are a glorious part of world civilization. Central Asian countries have religious and cultural ties with Iran - and Iran has emerged as a regional power.

Despite various economic blockades and attacks by COVID, Iran has a strong military power. Despite the blockade, Iran is selling large quantity ofa oil to several countries, including Japan and India.

China's economic progress, its veto power in the United Nations, global influence has surpassed Russia long ago and has achieved almost parity with the United States. The process of integrating economic development with the rest of the world has made the country one of the world's superpowers.

Pakistan is a Muslim country with nuclear power. That is why Pakistan has a special value in the Muslim world. In a few years, Pakistan has entered the arms trade forum by building aircraft for the Fighter Jet project, which India does not have. India-Pakistan are equal in food exports to Europe.

Pakistan is a regional hub for the economy and defense. China is the center of Iran and Pakistan is the center of this tri-power. New oil and gas procurement and China's Roadbelt Initiative have opened up huge potential for Pakistani products.

The 400 billion investment project between China and Iran also includes trade and military issues. This is the main reason why India has been left out of the railway project. Pakistan has benefited from this move. China has multiple agreements with Pakistan on economic and military issues.

Pakistan has long accused India of carrying out subversive activities in Balochistan. Pakistan sees the current good relations with China as an instrument of closer ties between the two countries.

Saudi Arabia's special friendship with Pakistan has led to deterioration rather than progress in Pakistan-Iran relations, with Iran raising the issue of good relations with Pakistan after the recent dispute. Despite good relations with Iran, Pakistan is trying to maintain a balance with Saudi Arabia.

In 2018, Pakistan rejected Riyadh's request to send troops to Yemen. Then the Saudi alliance was formed and with the help of the United States, Yemeni Houthis took to the field with a vow to exterminate them.

Pakistan and Bangladesh said they would fight anyone who attacked Mecca-Medina and expressed inability to send troops to fight Muslims in Yemen. Many Muslim countries refuse to participate directly in this alliance. Last year, in 2019, Iran criticized India for snatching autonomy from Kashmir.

Iran's move comes at a time when many Muslim countries have not spoken out on Kashmir. This further proves that while Tehran is not getting any benefit from its alliance with New Delhi, Islamabad is increasing the issue of Tehran's friendship.

In the recent past, some extremist groups and separatist groups, which are also fueled by foreign powers, have provoked the Shia-Sunni issue by attacking border guards and troops on both countries.

This has led to misunderstandings between the governments and people of the two countries. However, the incidents ended with bilateral talks between the two countries, with no military clashes. Just a month ago, the two countries signed a joint military patrol agreement.

Troops from both countries will patrol the Iran-Pakistan border to counter extremist groups. Recently, the Baloch separatist group in Balochistan province attacked the Pakistani Border Force, which was successfully dealt with by the joint forces. China welcomes this progress of both countries.

A major benefit for Pakistan is that the troubled border with Balochistan is now being securely secured in cooperation with Iran. It is also serving as a strong foundation for the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CEPC).

Pakistan's current energy crisis will also be greatly helped by Iran's accession to the BRI and CEPC. Iran is capable of supplying 3,000 MW of electricity to Pakistan. Moreover, the Iranian part of the Iran-Pakistan gas project has already been completed. It has been named ‘Pipeline of Peace’.

The Trinity is located in three important places in the world geographically, geopolitically and strategically. The three countries have an abundance of natural resources. There are similarities between maritime routes and inland issues.

Establishment of communication with the three countries by land on an emergency basis is also nearing completion. Any problem here is like suddenly heating up the international arena. This tri-llpower can solve many regional problems.

All regional and international parties are involved in the Afghan problem. All countries want peace in Afghanistan. All stakeholders can come together and take action by identifying who is responsible for the unrest. Pakistan has faced many problems for a troubled Afghanistan.

The security of China and Iran is also involved in the Afghan issue. Pakistan and Iran were not in the same position on the Afghan issue. Because Pakistan was on the side of the Taliban and Iran was on the side of the Northern Alliance.

China is involved with Afghanistan because China wants to connect Afghanistan to the Belt and Road project. Without peace and political stability in Afghanistan, the project cannot be effectively completed. China also wants to implement the BRI project in Central Asia. If there is unrest and economic disaster in these places, this project of China will not see the face of success.

So China is interested in political stability in the whole of Central Asia, including Afghanistan. If Afghanistan is in turmoil, Xinjiang will also have problems. For this, China wants the Afghan problem to end soon and peace to return. In Central Asia, both Pakistan and Iran want to expand trade.

Therefore, the combined development efforts of the three powers can be a big regulator for regional development. Peace has not come in 17 years of US presence in Afghanistan. The trinity could be used instead of the United States. Pakistan is also playing a big role in this effort.

Pakistan has shown efficiency as a mediator in the US-Taliban peace talks. President Trump himself praised Pakistan, saying, "India has nothing to do here." For this, the interests of every country of the three powers have been harmed. In this situation, these three countries have come forward to form an alliance.

Pakistan is playing a key role in US-Taliban peace talks. The recent Pakistan-Russia military exercise reminds us of Russia's return to the region and its participation in development. India wants US troops to stay in Afghanistan longer for its own interests.

Because if China and Pakistan launch an aggression on Kashmir and Ladakh, this army team may come in handy. The alliance feels that Trump's inclination towards India is not conducive to regional strategy. India wants to assert itself as a regional superpower.

External forces want to be involved in the Indo-China conflict. Similarly, external forces want to come forward in the Indo-Pakistani conflict over Kashmir. In such a heated situation, Washington has some controllers to weaken Beijing.

The US-India Civil Nuclear Agreement of 2005 and subsequent political developments prove that it is not easy to solve all the problems of Iran-Pakistan-China. The US-Israel axis has given India an advanced defense system. It is believed that the United States will not support India in any war with Pakistan or China until it gets some "benefits". In any war campaign, the United States would want China to be weakened or maimed.

The US-India Front is acting as a threat to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. So the triangular ring seems to have become necessary. Despite China's understanding and friendship with India, there has been a drought in India-China friendship over 'slow and slothful' moves.

Pakistan-China friendship is now in strong position. Now Iran has joined, the axis has become more powerful. Iran has many risks. From Obama to Trump, the tide of blockade has flowed against Iran. The anti-Iranian force, Mujahedin-e-Khalq, has been slammed for working against Iran.

Iran is spending time in a state of war and Israel is waging a war with Iran. Although nuclear talks resumed under Biden, anti-Iranian activities are unlikely to change overnight. The United States, on the other hand, wants to use Israel and India to defeat Iran. There are many Indo-China agreements that are just 'paperwork'.

The Iran-Pakistan-India gas line project is facing pressure from the United States. The triangular axis noted that the South Asian policy of US has always protected India's interests; As a result, regional peace and security have been disrupted and the balance of power has shifted.

In the region, there are reports in the US international media that another alliance is being formed, with Russia and Turkey joining in addition to the trio.

Russia's defense analyst Michael Boris said bluntly, "The alliance is being formed with Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran and Turkey because of the policy of the Indian prime minister, and India is being kept out." Boris added that Modi's racist policy was the main reason behind the formation of the alliance.

China will do everything to make the CPEC successful and effective. India will not be able to do anything but obstruct and will be humiliated. As exempted from Iran's rail project. Relations between Iran and Pakistan with Russia have improved in recent years.

Pakistan and Russia have recently decided to amend the 2015 agreement on the North-South Gas Pipeline Project (NSGPP). The agreement was signed to lay a gas pipeline from Karachi to Kasur.

The deal will open up the Pakistani market to Russian companies. In addition to trade and economic agreements, Russia and Pakistan have also signed military agreements. Russian troops have been stationed in Pakistan for joint exercises since 2018.

The agreement was signed when relations between Pakistan and the United States deteriorated, prompting the United States to suspend its military exchange program with Pakistan.

The Iranian ambassador played a key role in forming this alliance. He outlined the 5 state alliance. The main objective of the alliance will be regional cooperation and problem solving. Saeed Mohammad Ali Hossain, Iran's ambassador to Pakistan, told the Institute for Strategic Studies in Islamabad, "These five countries have all the tools to form an alliance for a better future. Moreover, the economic development of the alliance is also an important issue."

The United States has imposed tough economic sanctions on Iran and China in recent years. To maintain the value of the dollar, the United States fears China's economic rise and its global expansion of the Belt and Road Initiative.

So Washington's attempt to defeat Iran and weaken China economically. Russia is also under siege, so Russia has joined the alliance. The port of Chabahar in Iran and the port of Gwadar in Pakistan have opened golden doors for trade and economic activities.

Both projects have been funded and technically supported by China, and work on more connected sub-projects is underway. These two projects will facilitate easy access to Central Asia, Russia and Europe.
